St. Marina Hospital - system integration in operating theatres

GK Engineering Group. Ltd. in cooperation with Merivaara Corp. implemented the largest project for integrated operating theatres in Bulgaria - Hospital St. Marina - Pleven. The new hospital St. Marina in Pleven is named to be the highest technology hospital in Bulgaira. It was designed to satisfy the highest requirements for a healthcare facility according to the international standards. The main focus is in providing comfort and safety to the patient in the recovery process through the care of the best specialists in Bulgaria and highest level of technologies. 

GK Engineering Group is proud to be selected for installation and delivery of some of most important systems in the hospital - operating theatres integration, medical gas systems and nurse call systems design and development.

The medical gas system with power plants for oxygen, compressed air and vacuum is implemented according to the requirements of the international medical standards and deliver medical quiality gasses to each patient bed and operating theatres. The central stations we delivered are of top brands like Atlas Copco and Noxerior. 

Nurse Call Systems is german quality Tunstall with voice communication between patient and Nurse.

The operating theatres are fully equipped with  operating tables Promerix and lights Meriled by Merivaara Corp. 

In order to improve efficiency, the operating theatres were equipped with Merivaara integrated system OpenOR. The system allows managing pictures, video and full control of the equipment in the operating room during surgery. 

From the OpenOR monitor, it is possible to import and export images and data, to control the operating table, surgery lights, general light, route images to all monitors in the room and call consultant. The system controls and records images from the room camera, surgical light camera and endoscopic cameras. By grouping all data under a single patient identification code, the operation can then be initiated; subsequently, at the end of the operation, pictures and video files are sent to the clinic’s centralised system. . 

OpenOR also allows for telemedicine and remote consultations in real-time simply via a straightforward Internet connection through the clinic’s LAN network. 

The access to the operating theatres is secured by automatic doors by AKC Konstruckce, guaranteeing highest level of control and hygiene.
